Small Tintype Photo, Fashionable Ladies.

$13.00

This is such an interesting photo of possibly three sisters or friends. The black coats and pointed hats decorated with feathers are quite eye catching.. This is a tin type photograph from the Victorian era. It is unframed.

About Tin Type Photos:

A tin type photo, or also known as a melainotype or ferrotype is a photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal that has been coated in a dark lacquer or enamel. This is then used for the support of the photographic emulsion. This process was invented in the 1850’s. Tin type photos were produced into the early 20th century.

Please see all photos as they are an important part of the description.
